Socket, memory channels and TDP matter more than core count alone: an EPYC 9005 needs an SP5 board, a Xeon 6 6900P needs an LGA 7529 platform. The specifications on each page list what we know; confirm against the manufacturer datasheet for your motherboard.
Most server builds also need DDR5 server memory matched to the platform and network adapters. For GPU servers, pair processors with data center GPUs. Tray (OEM) and boxed versions can differ in warranty handling, so say which one you need when you request a quote.
