The ATmega2560-16AU is the 8-bit AVR microcontroller used on the Arduino Mega family of boards. It runs at 16 MHz and provides 256 KB of Flash, 8 KB of SRAM and 4 KB of EEPROM in a TQFP-100 package with 86 I/O pins.
Peripherals include four USARTs, SPI and TWI (I2C), and a 16-channel 10-bit ADC. For 16 MHz operation the supply range is 4.5 to 5.5 V, as given in Microchip's datasheet. The large pin count and memory make it popular for 3D printer controllers, test fixtures, educational hardware and designs that start on an Arduino Mega prototype. Quantity price breaks are shown on the listing.
