The RP2040 is Raspberry Pi's own microcontroller, with two Arm Cortex-M0+ cores running at up to 133 MHz and 264 KB of on-chip SRAM. Program code is stored in external QSPI flash of up to 16 MB, so you choose the flash size for your design.
The chip provides 30 GPIO pins, USB 1.1 host/device, two UARTs, two SPI and two I2C controllers and 16 PWM channels. Its eight programmable I/O (PIO) state machines can implement custom interfaces in hardware. It comes in a 7x7 mm QFN-56 package. This part number, SC0914(7), is the 7-inch tape and reel of 500 pieces for automated assembly. The RP2040 is supported by the Raspberry Pi C/C++ SDK and MicroPython.
